About me?
So, were to start? I have lived in Buffalo for about 18 years.
I started playing around with jewlery starting around 2008. I called this Phyr Beads and then after getting going I realized that EVERYONE was makeing beaded jewlery. So I didn't do much beyond making gifts for family and stuff for close friends. I haven't had to go gift shopping for the women in my family since. A win in my opinion.
Most of my art is done with traditional methods.
Not so much because of preffrance but because I have had 3 hard drives die on me. The first two happend at once around 2006-ish and while I got some importand data off one... The storage drive rattled and thus not recoverable. All my digital stuff was gone. I had no back ups. The third drive went around 2007-2008. While this drive was also compleatly dead, I had backed up a few things. The kicker was it went the day I was going to back everything.
Between 2006 and 20014 I did not draw or write much. I called it an art block.
I have poked around with art my whole life and finaly took my first screen printing class in 2014 at the WNY Book Arts Center. Best class ever. I also bought art and I plan on taking more classes.
The whole screen pringting thing got the art gears going and I have far too many ideas. Which I think is better then none. My ideas seem to spin into other ideas and breed more ideas. So I have a large collection of partly filled notebooks.
Feeling much better I took the plunge and registered Phyr Studios.
This way I can have all my art, jewlery and other web baised projects under one roof. Keep in mind I forgot that I have to digitize everything, so uploading things is taking just a bit longer then I expected. I am hoping that Deviant Art has a mass upload feature.
Currently I have art posted on:
Deviant Art
My Tumblr
My Etsy
And this site.
So... Thats about the best rundown of things I do that I have ever written.
And also, because I have to say it, I do not allow my art to be used with or for AI. Not for training. Not for personal. Not for anything.
I do not use AI.
